The church teaches that Holy Baptism (or Christening), marks the beginning of our journey with God, which continues for the rest of our lives; it is the first step we take, in response to God’s love. For everyone involved, it is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done for us through Jesus Christ, making serious promises and declaring the faith.
